A Short Story About Growing Up & Family

Reflecting on the last four years had me thinking about how quickly it all went by and how my family was there for me through it all. At it's core, this is a thank you note to my loved ones and everyone who helped me get here. The song is a cover of Love You by The Free Design sung by my mom.

Animation Process

All the character movement and background was made on Procreate.

Style frames

I wanted the animation to look and feel like a it came straight out of a children's book. It needed to feel charming and heartwarming to match the audio track.

Style frame Alternative

The original style was going to be full of color, and maybe one day I'll make an alternative version in this style. But for now, the black and white is still charming and sweet.
